In the "Woodstock Artisans' Veritile Encounters" Chat Room you will be able to express yourself about issues which concern the Artists' Communities in Woodstock and the surrounding areas of the Hudson Valley Region.
Rules and regulations of the Veritile Encounters chatroom are as follows:
No profanity or lewdity allowed. Dignified discussion only. Personal verbal assaults (degradations of character or character assasination) on other members of the chat room audience will also not be tolerated. Violators will be booted off immediately and possibly banned forever! If you are using the room and are confronted by this type of behavior, report the offender to:
offender@wavelinks.net.
The purpose of this Chat Room is mainly for friends to get together and chew the fat about their Art or Profession. Political issues which pertain to or affect the Arts will be tolerated, not encouraged. If the discussion turns political, (i.e.: discussion of "How The Arts in Woodstock are affected by the actions of it's Town Board", for example), as long as it remains dignified, then so be it. (In other words, the climate of this Chat Room is that it's intended to be a cool place to breeze in and chat, meet new people and find out more about the Art community here. But it could also get hot in here from time to time, depending on who's in here, who's scheduled as host {if any}, what the specified Topic is and any issues that might come up for debate under a given Topic, and also who's who in the room at the time... you all know who you are...)
So now that the Rules are defined, feel free to use this Chat Room any time for conducting forums or sessions related to your Art Form or Profession, conducting business, having a business meeting, Q&A sessions with your clients, demonstrational and instructional forums about your Art Form or related profession or business, or for meeting your buddies & shootin' the breeze, or simply hangin' out to check out the scene here; whatever your heart desires, just keep it on the "Up & Up".
Woodstock Artisans' Veritile Encounters is a WYSIWYG - (What You See Is What You Get) - Chat Room. It is a free forum for The Arts, Artistic Professions and Arts-related industries. This is a Peoples' Chat -- a place where the Public can meet the Artists in the Woodstock Area and surrounding Hudson Valley Regions. It's Yours to Use!

This week is Drama Week at WAVElinks:*
The Artist of the Week for This Week is:
Robert Stewart
Robert Stewart is a playwright, who WAVElinks is featuring because of his cross-genre play - (unbeknownst to him - in other words, he's quite unaware that WAVElinks is honoring him this week!). Stewart recently finished a play about Oscar Wilde, entitled "'De Profundis Mysterium' - The Life and Times of Oscar Wilde". I understand that the Play is quite good, and warrants attention of the Drama World as well as literary attention. Another Cross-Platform Artist! This play, "Profundis Mysterium" delves into Oscar's imprisonment and his atonement for his 'sins', as well as some other aspects of his life, but thus if I tell the outcome, it will spoil the play for you; so I end of the play for you. But I will hint this - it has a wonderul twist at the end, including a live 'cello piece enhancing the dancing... not just a play, folks, but a play with dancers and a 'cellist! Hopefully, someone in the Drama Department will take notice and Back it someday, soon!
- RockRoovly
PS: Forgive me, Robert, for not talking to you first before publishing this, but I felt it was worth mentioning!
*Starting on the First Monday, the First Week of every Month is "Art Week"
Starting the Second Monday, the Second Week is "Drama Week"
Starting the Third Monday, the Third Week is "Literature Week"
Starting the Fourth Monday, Fourth Week is "Music Week"
In case your wondering, it's Multi-Media when two or more of the Art Genres are combined together to form a presentation - therefore it's Multi-Media Week every week on WAVElinks! On a week at the end of a month which is the fifth Monday of the month (as it will be for this month of March 1999), that week we will specifically feature a Multi-Media Artist. Please submit any Artists (including yourself, if you are an Artist in any of the major Arts Genres - Art. Drama, Literature, Music, or a combo which is Multi-Media) that you would like to see featured here as Artist of the Month, for all the Arts, or also Artist of the Week for the present 'week at hand' - (this week for instance is the beginning of Literature Week).
